Dr. Mihir Hajarnavis had submitted his dissertation to Pune University
in 1995 for the P.G. degree M.D.
(Kaya Chikitsa). His guide was Prof. Dr.
S. P. Sardeshmukh & Research center was Tilak Ayurved Mahavidyalaya, Pune.
(M.S.) India .
Dr.
Mihir Hajarnavis in his research work tried to study the effect of
Nagaradi kashya
in kasa vikara.
For this study he enrolled 52 patients
The study was concluded as follows –
Nagaradi Kashaya was found more useful in Cough with expectoration than
dry cough
39 patients (75%) were relieved completely
10 patients (19 – 23%) relieved only of few symptoms & 3 patients (5.76%) were
not relieved at all.
Patients
having Kaphaja kasa were completely relived of symptoms (91.3% relief). 63.6%
relief was found in patients having vataja kasa.
Vataja Kasa is a type of dry cough in nature.
